Yay more clays arrived today!

Just wanted to take a pic and show you what I received today. But colors may run out fast as I have customisations to make out of them. hehe...

On a separate note, today there had been a lot of communication amongst several crafters (including myself) about those who have been adapting others' original designs/ideas and not acknowledging the true source of that creation. Many of these crafters who blogged about this issue are uber uber upset about it. There's a very fine line drawn on this issue but let's all be true to ourselves. As long as you were inspired by others' work & then adapt the same concept is copying (I hate to use that word, really). Permission should be sought from the rightful creator and then acknowledge them. This way, no one will be offended.

So as to show my support for originality only, I came out with this little banner on my blog on the right which looks like this:

If you wish to place this banner in your blog which will also link up to the Bead & Button's beader's ethics, drop me a mail & I'll gladly send the html codes to you. Don't *ahem* copy... (arrghhh I detest this word!)

See you all tomorrow for uploads on new bead creations. :) I have quite a few interesting creations I came up with. (Ahh... and this with the best of my knowledge is my original concept... unless someone saw it somewhere else which I don't know about. haha!) So tell me if its not totally my ideas ok? :p

Have a good night & sleep tight!

*UPDATE : It may interest all to read up more about the fine lines on copyrights here.

Dear visitors & beading enthusiasts ....

... I would like to take some time to share with you about Beader's Ethics.

It has been an on-going issue for many of us in the beading circle about keeping our rights to our original creations. It is always a lousy feeling to find out that someone else copied an original design you made and call it their original creation. This issue also extends to those who have taken the easy way out by copying contents of fellow crafters' sites.

Please have a conscience & think for a moment that the crafters put in a lot of heart & soul into coming up with a creation or took a lot of time to research & build up their site. If a crafter's work has inspired you and you would like to make a similar design out of it, please let the crafter know and acknowledge her work in your site.

So please, be (really) original. Be mature about it. Don't let the guilt of copying someone's work eat you up. It's really not worth it.

Support the Beader's Ethics by placing this code in your site. Support originality.
